Slow updates for DNS zones

Description:

We are currently seeing that DNS zones that are added as new, updated or removed are not currently working as it should and causing delays. We expect the delays to be around 3-5 hours before that change is made publicly to our DNS-clusters including the Anycast network. It is not affecting DNS resolutions in any environment.

New information:

The issue has been identified and handled properly by our technicians. There will be delays in DNS propagation for some zones during the night, but we are monitoring the situation and it will slowly normalize and become fully stable later tonight.

We apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused and will also take measures to prevent this from happening again.

Planned updates of automation and billing backends.

Description:

On Thursday morning we will be updating our backend systems for our shared hosting platform. This work will start at 4 am and continue for about 3 hours. During this time the system (control panel, order pages etc) will not be available.

The updates contain improvements to security layers, preparations for GDPR and performance related changes. It also prepares our system for some upcoming features related to full IPv6 support and new SSL and encryption features.

This maintenance does not affect any of the customer related services as dns, domains, websites, databases or email etc.

Update 07:00 The upgrade work is now finished and tested and the systems are fully open for all customers. Some minor fixes are still ongoing in the control panel, but it should not affect usage much.
